IOF Confiscates Palestinian Flag from Lajee Center

Today, December 10, 2023 at 1:15am, the Israeli Occupation Forces entered Aida Camp and trespassed into the Lajee Center, breaking and entering the main entrance. Their mission was to confiscate the Palestinian flag flying high over the Lajee rooftop. This flag has been a symbol for the Lajee Center and the community, since its inception, of resistance and existence. The IOF went straight to the rooftop and began cutting the 4-meter pole using an electric saw, and took not only the flag but the pole in which it stands on. This heinous act was not only a form of intimidation but also to express the power they have over freedom of expression of anything Palestinian. The following morning, employees found the main door of the center broken and the flag pole that was stolen, mounted on top of the military base that oversees the Aida Camp, flying an Israeli flag.
