Environmental Awareness with the Lajee Environmental and Health Unit
As part of the weekly activities of the Environmental Club, the Health and Environment Unit at Lajee Center organized a series of events aimed at promoting environmental awareness among participants.
The activities included recycling plastic bottles and transforming them into plant pots filled with flowers, which were then hung in designated areas. This initiative aimed to foster a culture of recycling and encourage the reuse of materials in environmentally friendly ways.
Additionally, members of the Environmental Club took part in harvesting agricultural crops, supporting local farming and the concept of food sovereignty.
On the awareness front, two students from the Environmental Club delivered a lecture on environmental pollution to their peers. They discussed its negative effects on the environment and human health and explored possible solutions to reduce pollution and protect the environment.
